Outdoor Solar Lights
The idea of solar lighting is to use the sun’s own natural rays to create energy and then create light. This is made possible with many scientifically and mechanical developments throughout time. The process of taking thermal energy, the sun’s rays, and creating functional energy is a complex method full of steps. Solar lighting is used in modern day landscaping as decorative and functional objects. Solar lighting today is a source of clean energy compared to other sources of energy.

The first step in creating solar energy for a solar light is in the sun’s rays hitting a photoelectric cell on the light. This cell can take in the sun’s ray and create an electrical energy from the thermal energy provided by the sun. Other methods involve the sun’s rays heating up a darker shaded group of cells and heating those until there is enough energy for the light. Larger units can collect the thermal energy and like a windmill spin a motor to create electrical energy.

Solar lighting is a cheap method of adding light to a landscape. Solar lights run nearly on their own, only requiring installation. After installed, the light will naturally gather energy from collecting thermal energy with its photoelectric cells. Outdoor solar lights are solar lights that go outside to accent landscaping.
